Returns and refunds

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Under European Union consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU) and the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek), retail consumers are entitled to a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.

Important Legal Exception: Sealed Physical Media

In strict accordance with Article 16(i) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Article 6:230p sub f of the Dutch Civil Code (BW), the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to:

“The supply of sealed audio or sealed video recordings or sealed computer software which were unsealed after delivery.”

Because we supply collectible boutique media and imported 4K releases, returns are only accepted if the product remains completely unopened in its original, intact factory shrink-wrap with all studio seals, hype stickers, and original packaging uncompromised. Items that have had their shrink-wrap broken, slit, removed, or resealed cannot be returned or refunded.

How to Initiate a Return

1. You have 14 calendar days from the date the carrier marks your parcel as delivered to notify us of your intent to return.
2. Contact us at themovieshelfimports@gmail.com with your order number and a clear photo confirming the item remains in factory-sealed condition.
3. Upon return authorization, package the item securely in a rigid box (do not return fragile media in non-padded paper envelopes).
4. Return shipping must be handled via a tracked postal service. In accordance with EU law, the customer is responsible for the direct costs of return shipping unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., incorrect title dispatched).

Refunds

Once your return is delivered to our facility and inspected to verify its original sealed condition, we will process your refund within 5 to 7 business days. Refunds are issued directly to the original payment method (Credit Card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or iDEAL). The original standard outbound shipping fee will be refunded if the entire order is returned.
