Shipping and delivery
Processing & Handling
All orders are packaged and dispatched within 1 to 2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding Dutch public holidays). Because we specialize in collectible and boutique physical media (including limited-edition 4K UHDs, Digipaks, and SteelBooks), every order is packed securely using rigid cardboard boxes, , and ample bubble wrap and packing material to prevent transit dings, spine splits, or corner damage.
Carrier & Tracking
All shipments are dispatched via DHL eCommerce from the Netherlands.
- Germany: Delivered via the native DHL Paket network. Orders can be shipped directly to your residential address or routed to a German Packstation / DHL Filiale. Tracking updates flow directly through the DHL Post & Paket system.
- Netherlands & Belgium: Delivered via DHL eCommerce directly to your home address or nearest DHL ServicePoint / Pakketautomaat.
As soon as your parcel is scanned at our local DHL ServicePoint, you will receive an automated shipping notification with your official DHL Track & Trace link.

Customs & Free Trade (EU)
All orders are fulfilled and shipped from our registered business facility in the Netherlands. Because Germany and the Netherlands are members of the European Union Single Market, orders delivered within the EU are not subject to customs duties, import tariffs, or carrier clearance fees. The total calculated at checkout is final.
Transit Insurance & Damage
- Standard DHL eCommerce shipments include baseline carrier liability. For rare or premium collector editions, full transit insurance (up to €500) is applied where indicated.
- If an exterior box arrives visibly crushed or torn, please take clear photos of the unopened parcel and the DHL shipping label before opening.
- If the contents have sustained transit damage, contact us at themovieshelfimports@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and supporting photographs so we can open a formal claim with DHL eCommerce and issue a replacement or refund.
